From undeveloped land alongside the N12 to Klerksdorp’s most-loved community shopping destination — Flamwood Walk’s journey spans over two decades.
Flamwood Walk’s story began in 1998, when the vision was created to transform approximately 80 000 square metres of undeveloped land alongside the N12 National Road into a vibrant retail destination. The first phase opened its doors in April 2002, marking the beginning of a new chapter for shopping and business in the Flamwood area.
Over the years, Flamwood Walk has grown into an established retail precinct serving Klerksdorp and the wider City of Matlosana region. By 2007, the centre had developed into a recognised destination featuring more than 20 000 square metres of retail space, value retailers and motor showrooms. Today, it continues to bring together a diverse mix of stores, dining options and everyday services designed around the needs of the people who visit.
The wider Flamwood retail precinct also includes Flamwood Value Centre, offering additional speciality stores and shopping options alongside Flamwood Walk.
